Just a reminder because apparently people don’t realize this, but the rainbow gay pride flag isn’t like…a gay male pride flag? it was literally meant as a pride flag for everyone in the community. not that there’s anything wrong with specific identities having their own flag, but i keep seeing ppl post flag sets as if the rainbow ride flag only represents gay men and saying that not including every single other flag known in existence means you’re excluding people when no it’s not the rainbow flag is for everyone

beanierhodes

I think this is really important for people who are daunted by all the labels and still figuring themselves out. It’s okay. The rainbow flag is yours too

i get so sad thinking about all the little girls growing up on tiktok and seeing all the insane beauty standards on there

bratzona-deactivated20210825

like literally every other week there’s a new trend promoting small waists or “hourglass figures”, the “i guess i won’t eat today” comments, the current villainization of fat women happening, the trend happening a while back with literal teenagers bragging about their nose jobs and showing their ethnic noses and talking about how excited they are to get it “fixed”, people using pictures of them as literal children as their “before” for glow ups. i could go on forever but it’s just become a cesspool of everything wrong with the internet’s beauty standards

Abigail Disney has no control or input on the operations of the corporation, she is a Disney heiress and, in that respect, nothing else. She puts her money towards philanthropy, especially women’s movements around the globe and peace organizations like Peace is Loud and the Global Fund for Women. She is a documentary filmmaker who explores these themes as well.

There are problematic family investments she earns money from that, legally, she cannot divest from. Instead, she donates these profits to charities that counter to those investments.

Reblogging this version because I needed to read this after watching the video

muffinly

She’s still saying this shit here in 2019 😍

fierceawakening

“I have literally sat in a room with the people [at Disney] who pour your soda, and the people who clean your room and scrape gum off the sidewalks, who have told me, “I have to ration my insulin.” I have sat with them, and I have felt a kind of rage that I don’t even know how to describe to you.”

GO OFF GO OFF GO OFF

fmlcomic

This woman, with no control over where the wealth she was born to comes from, looked around and said “well, this isn’t fair” and advocates to fucking fix that shit.

lordkingsmith

-sips tea- she also predicted Disney’d be in massive trouble if the corporation didn’t change it’s business practices, and so far everything she warned has come true. She and her family have largely pulled away from the company, as of December of 2020

I don’t usually like making generational generalizations (lol kinda a pun) but I do think that women demand less from men than at any point in modern American history.

It seems like for millennial women it’s “wrong” to expect a man to pay for a date or to wait until he’s proven himself to have sex with him or to actually care about how much money a man is on track to make.

Millennial women are just supposed to be compliant sex dolls who also cook and clean and go 50/50 on all bills–maybe even be the breadwinner in addition to taking care of those household duties. And they definitely cannot expect marriage which they are told is just a “piece of paper” when it clearly isn’t.

I feel like we’re in a very regressive time when it comes to relationships between men and women. It’s like women are being aggressively bullied into having zero standards via memes/ internet discussion, the media, and the dating scene in general. Especially black women. I hate to see it.
